Impact Awards Divisions

There are 40 divisions to choose from, covering all types of marketing and communications efforts. 

Integrated Program

 

Division 1: Total Communications Program – corporate, business unit, or product line

Includes all elements of an integrated B-to-B marketing program that promotes overall corporate brand, specific business unit, or specific product line. Entry must include at least three of the following elements: advertisements/campaigns, graphics, direct marketing, literature, premiums, CD/DVD, URL, publicity, trade show, etc. If any of these elements are also entered in another division, you must supply a separate set of materials for that division.

Space Advertising

Division 2: Advertising Campaign

Series of two or more different fractional, full-page, or spread ads appearing in business or professional publications and created to support a single communications program.

 

Division 3: Single Fractional Lead-Generating Ad, B&W or Color

Fractional ad appearing in business or professional publications created to generate a specific response (e.g. request catalog, white paper, product sample, or visit specific product website section). Entry must be submitted with appropriate objectives and metrics (e.g. number of leads, sales calls, website traffic, etc.).

 

Division 4: Single Full Page Ad, B&W or Color

Division 5: Single Spread Ad (2 Pages or More), Full or Fractional, B&W or Color

Direct Marketing

Division 6: Single Printed Mail Piece

Division 7: Campaign with Multiple Mailings of Printed Pieces

Division 8: Mailings with Gifts, under $25

Single or Multiple Mailings that include Gifts, Incentives or Objects valued under $25 per item, including packaging costs

Division 9: Mailings with Gifts, over $25

Single or Multiple Mailings that include Gifts, Incentives or Objects valued over $25 per item, including packaging costs

Division 10: Single or Multiple Promotional E-mails

E-mail promotions designed to elicit response or drive traffic to a web site; submit printout and summary of response or traffic generated

Promotional Materials

Division 11: Capability and/or Facilities Brochure, up to six pages

 

The Lew Kraut Award

Division 12: Capability and/or Facilities Brochure, eight pages or more

Division 13: Product Bo oklet, Brochure or Bulletin, up to six pages

Division 14: Product Bo oklet, Brochure or Bulletin, eight pages or more

Division 15: Special Event Promotion, Single or Multiple Pieces

Includes all single or multiple printed pieces, premiums, publicity, etc., to promote a single event

Division 16: Product Datasheet or Sell Sheet

Includes two-page or four-page technical datasheets or sell sheets B&W, 2-color or 4-color. Entries will be judged on clarity of presentation, comprehensiveness of data, and general layout/design.

Division 17: Miscellaneous Printed Product Material

Includes formats other than those of Div. 11 through 16 (e.g. slim-jims, pocket folders, etc.). 

Division 18: Poster or Calendar

Division 19: Dealer or Distributor Materials, Single or Multiple Pieces

Division 20: Magazine or Other Publication Media Kit

Corporate Identity Program

Division 21: Complete Corporate Identity Program

Includes any elements that ensure uniformity of all corporate communications, e.g. corporate style manual, new logo, letterhead design, signage, business cards, etc.

Annual Reports

Division 22: Annual Report to Stockholders and the Financial Community

Company Periodicals

Division 23: Internal or External Newsletter or Magazine

Up to six issues may be submitted

Division 24: E-Newsletter

On-line publication e-mailed or posted on web site; submit printout(s) of up to six issues

Web-Based Advertising and Web Sites

Either producer or marketer may enter. Submit material as produced and/or distributed (PC version) along with hard copy or URLs and supporting material.

 

Division 25:  Static Banner Ads

Ad(s) designed to generate website traffic. Submit printout, URL, or on disc plus summary of number of impressions and click through rates

Division 26:  Dynamic or Interactive Banner Ads

Ad(s) designed to generate website. Submit printout, URL, or on disc plus summary of number of impressions and click through rates

Division 27:  Keyword Advertising (Pay-Per-Click Campaigns)

Keyword purchased Search Engine listings designed to generate website traffic. Submit key phrases targeted, leads generated, and average cost/lead.

Division 28: Web Sites – Corporate

Any Web site created by a company or by an agency for a corporate client. The URL and printouts of at least five sample screens including the home page must be submitted. Also include any special requirements such as Shockwave, frames, passwords or other special instructions for accessing the Web site.

 

Division 29: Web Sites – Agency

Any Web site created for your Advertising/MarComm agency to promote your services. The URL and printouts of at least five sample screens including the home page must be submitted. Also include any special requirements such as Shockwave, frames, passwords or other special instructions for accessing the Web site.

Division 30: Web-Based Catalog

Any website’s ecommerce section that allows customers to select and/or order products or services. Submit URL, materials, and special requirements as in Divisions 28 & 29 above.

Division 31: Webinars and Webcasts

Any Webcast or Webinar designed to educate a target audience or announce company or product news. Submit URL and printouts of at least three sample screens, including entry page. Include any special requirements as in Divisions 28 & 29 above.

 

Video Production

Division 32: Product Sales or Corporate Promotional Video

Submit on standard CD or DVD

Agency Promotion Materials

Materials used by agencies or marketing communications firms to promote their services. Entries may include advertising, direct mail, literature, premiums, etc.

Division 33: Total Agency Promotion Campaign

Division 34: Any Single Agency Promotional Piece

Public Relations

Division 35: Public Relations Campaign

Coordinated public relations/product publicity campaign including at least three elements, e.g. feature or technical articles, new product or literature announcements, press kits, application stories, press tours or editors’ days, pre-and post-trade show or event promotions, audio-visual press release. Submit materials and results (clips, number of editor visits, etc.)

Division 36: Feature Articles

Submit three copies as published

Exhibits/Trade Shows

Submit a floor plan with one or more 8” x 10” color photos of the exhibit to show how it fulfilled its mission.

Division 37: Trade Show Exhibits 100 sq. ft.

Division 38: Trade Show Exhibits 200-400 sq. ft.

Division 39: Trade Show Exhibits more than 400 sq. ft.

Division 40: Show-Related Promotions

Mail, e-mail, PR, and other promotions or campaigns designed to build booth traffic, attract attendee or media attention, etc.
